The secret behind our origin lies in our belief of inclusive architecture and our deep commitment to building a sense of community.
Why 'Kotis'?

Aap sabhi ko hamara koti koti pranam
Our founders, having observed a prevalent trend in architectural firms where the company's name revolved around one or two principal architects, sought to challenge this exclusivity. They wanted to create a firm that prioritized inclusivity and fostered a community of architects dedicated to blending heritage and future aspirations.
To embody their belief in inclusivity, they chose a different naming approach. Instead of traditional conventions, they opted to search for a meaningful word by connecting to their roots. After careful consideration, they choose the Sanskrit word, 'Koti,' which means 'the Apex' and symbolizes the highest levels of respect towards others. To strike a balance between tradition and modernity, they added an 's' as a suffix, transforming it into 'Kotis.' This contemporary modification retained the name's original meaning and essence while enhancing its recall value.
'Kotis' serves as a respectful greeting to clients, signifying that their needs will be met with the utmost regard.

Valued Words
from our Mentors
Words said to us by our mentors are very close to our hearts and those are the ones that we value and take forward in our careers. It is rare that one gets a praise from one of the biggest and leading architects of India.
We are highly fortunate to have gotten one from Architect B.V. Doshi, a Pritzker award winning architect. He has personally given multiple accolades and recommendations to our studio director AR. Rhea Naithani.
