The secret behind our origin lies in our belief of inclusive architecture and our deep commitment to building a sense of community.
Why 'Kotis'?
Aap sabhi ko hamara koti koti pranam
Having observed a prevalent trend in architectural firms where the company's name revolved around one or two principal architects, we sought to challenge this exclusivity. We wanted to create a firm that prioritized inclusivity and fostered a community of architects dedicated to blending heritage and future aspirations.
To embody our belief in inclusivity, we chose a different naming approach. Instead of traditional conventions, we opted to search for a meaningful word by connecting to our roots. After careful consideration, we choose the Sanskrit word, 'Koti,' which means 'the Apex' and symbolizes the highest levels of respect towards others. To strike a balance between tradition and modernity, we added an 's' as a suffix, transforming it into 'Kotis.' This contemporary modification retained the name's original meaning and essence while enhancing its recall value.
'Kotis' serves as a respectful greeting to clients, signifying that their needs will be met with the utmost regard.

We are a community of architects, designers, engineers, and researchers who share an unwavering passion for their craft. With boundless energy and creative minds, our dynamic team has embarked on numerous transformative projects across the Indian subcontinent, as well as in Nepal, China, and Sri Lanka.
Our collective objective goes far beyond merely constructing buildings; Kotis Architects aspire to create exceptional architecture that goes beyond the ordinary. We aspire to create architecture that breathes life into spaces and inspires all who encounter it. We embrace innovation and sustainable practices, weaving together imaginative concepts that honor client constraints, cultural context, and environmental stewardship.

Meet our Founders
Ar. Pranav Semwal
Pranav, a fast-riser in his industry, has executed multiple award winning projects in India. He is an alumni of SPA Bhopal with prior work experience at Morphogenesis and Studio Symbiosis. He has led some of the most prestigious projects in India including UP Government's TransGanga Hitech City and the 2400 Cr Surat Diamond Bourse. Other than this, he has a reputation for iconic design and focus on excellence in execution.
Ar. Rhea Naithani
Rhea is a versatile architect who has a keen eye for sustainable design practices and interior design. She has previously worked with Architect B,V. Doshi, a Pritzker award winning architect, where she personally has been given accolades and recommendations by him. She has been awarded merit scholarship from both Pratt Institute, New York and Rhode Island School of Design. Other than this, she has previously worked on multiple prestigious projects including Nalanda University.
